Steps to cancel Xbox Game Pass
- Sign in at account.microsoft.com/services with the Microsoft account that pays for Game Pass.
- Find your Game Pass tier and choose Manage.
- Pick Cancel subscription (or turn off recurring billing) and confirm; access lasts until the paid period ends.
- On a console you can also go to Settings › Account › Subscriptions.

Signed up in Germany? The cancel button
If you live in Germany and signed up for Xbox Game Pass directly on its website, German law has required businesses that let you sign up online to offer a cancellation button there since July 1, 2022. If a business doesn’t offer one, you may cancel at any time without notice.
Since June 19, 2026, contracts signed on a business’s website or app can also be withdrawn during the withdrawal period with a button such as “Vertrag widerrufen” (withdraw from contract). Withdrawing undoes a contract you just signed; it is not the same as canceling.
