Steps to cancel EA Play
- Work out where you joined: EA app on PC, Steam, PlayStation or Xbox.
- For the EA app: sign in to your EA Account, open Subscriptions and memberships, then pick Cancel membership.
- For PlayStation or Xbox: turn off auto-renew for EA Play in that console’s subscription settings (or Microsoft account / PlayStation account management).
- Games from the membership stop working when it ends, but saves are kept.

Signed up in Germany? The cancel button
If you live in Germany and signed up for EA Play directly on its website, German law has required businesses that let you sign up online to offer a cancellation button there since July 1, 2022. If a business doesn’t offer one, you may cancel at any time without notice.
Since June 19, 2026, contracts signed on a business’s website or app can also be withdrawn during the withdrawal period with a button such as “Vertrag widerrufen” (withdraw from contract). Withdrawing undoes a contract you just signed; it is not the same as canceling.
