Steps to cancel Spotify Premium
- Sign in at spotify.com and open your account’s Manage your plan page.
- Choose Cancel subscription and confirm; Premium stays active until the next billing date, then the account drops to the free tier.
- If Spotify is billed through a phone, internet or other partner, cancel with that partner instead (the Payment section of your account links to them).
- Only the plan manager can cancel a Duo or Family plan; members should ask the manager.

Signed up in Germany? The cancel button
If you live in Germany and signed up for Spotify Premium directly on its website, German law has required businesses that let you sign up online to offer a cancellation button there since July 1, 2022. If a business doesn’t offer one, you may cancel at any time without notice.
Since June 19, 2026, contracts signed on a business’s website or app can also be withdrawn during the withdrawal period with a button such as “Vertrag widerrufen” (withdraw from contract). Withdrawing undoes a contract you just signed; it is not the same as canceling.
